TRUMPET TREASURES: From the Tranquil to the Triumphant! A night in tribute to the wonderful songs from famous trumpet players, featuring tunes by Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, Harry James, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and others. “Wonderful World,” “Blue Bossa,” “Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White,” “I Can't Get Started With You,” and “A Taste of Honey,” among many others. Featuring Charlie Schneeweis (trumpet and vocals), Ed Mari (woodwinds), Phyllis Isaacson (piano), Genevieve Rose (bass), and Richard Mayer (drums). Concert begins at 7:30pm. EASTON CONNECTICUT JAZZ FESTIVAL - FREE ADMISSION! First, the PIONEER VALLEY REUNION JAZZ QUARTET will open the festival from 11:45am-12:30pm. The PVR Jazz quartet will feature Jake Epstein (also sax), Steve Page (pinao), Geneveive Rose (baqss), and Tom Briggs (drums).
